fairly clear that the Colonial Government will be sympathetic to the proposal for amending the Hong Kong legislation so as to enable this, or any Company similarly situated, to transfer its registered office temporarily from Hong Kong. Mr. Gray, whose Company has a branch office in Australia, is quite ready to promote his own ease as to the facilities available under Commonwealth or New South Wales Law to enable the branch office temporarily to become the Company's registered office. I suggest that we should leave the Hong Kong Government to make any necessary communication to the Commonwealth Government; latter will be aware from their participation in the evacuation scheme for women nd children from Hong Kong that the circumstances may require these precautionary measures in respect of Hong Kong Companies.
